Spottin’ the wave
Dana Point has a subtle stamp on the map of the Southern California coast, remaining as one of the best kept beach city secrets of California, despite its foundational impact on American surf culture. Boardroom Tap hopes to build its foundation upon the history of Dana Point, paying homage to contributors of the past, while forging the next generation of culture-contributors to carry on Dana Point’s future.
Over the last several years, more and more kids who grew up in Dana Point and went off to college are choosing to come back and create the same life for their families that their parents did for them. This brings a whole new demographic of people that the city didn’t experience much of in the early 2000s and 2010s.
College students are sticking around after graduating. Young adults are starting families closer to the homes they themselves grew up in. Rather rapidly, we've seen Dana Point establish a connection between young adults and older adults alike. And at the heart of it? Social and community-focused restaurants and bars. A shift from table-maximizing, profit-focused eateries to more open seating, ambiance-focused social bars has created a noticeable impact on Dana Point’s community and nightlife, for the better. And we hope to contribute to the quickly-growing experience that Dana Point has to offer.
